ENGLISH FIRST PAPER SUGGESTION....................HSC EXAM-2014

HSC ENGLISH FIRST PAPER
SUGGESTION....................

I have divided the suggestion into three parts. First part is most important, second part is less important and the third part contains comprehensions that came only once or twice. To my own point of view, suggestions are only for the weaker students. A good student read everything and cuts a good figure in the examination.........

Note: You must know that there are three parts in a question. Part-A contains two passages. First passage contains question 1 to 4 & second passage contains question 5 to 8 .Look at the suggestion, I uses board without underline for question 1 to 4 & board with underlined for question 5 to 8. I will update the suggestion when it is needed. Thanks.

One day he stole a piece of meat from a farmer’s kitchen. Taking it in his mouth, he started to run away from the place. He was looking for a suitable place to eat the piece. While he was running with it, on the way he had to cross a bridge of a small stream. While walking on the bridge he saw his own reflection in the water below. He thought that it was another dog, which might snatch his piece of meat. So he began to bark. But alas! During barking, his piece of meat fell from his mouth in the stream below and he was disappointed. He understood that Grasp all loss all.

One summer day, a crow got very thirsty. It searched for water hither and thither. At last it saw a jar at a distance. It flew down to it. There was a little water at the bottom of the jar. COMPOSITION:MY FAVOURIT HOBBY

Hobby is the leisure pursuit of a person. Different people have different hobbies. I have also a favourite hobby. It is philately or stamp collecting. I collect stamps not only out of hobby but also to enrich my knowledge. Philately is the science of collecting postage stamps. It originated in England after the first issue of the penny postage. Rowland Hill introduced the penny postage in England in 1840. I cherish this hobby because it gives me much pleasure and knowledge. It helps me to pass my spare time with interest. This is reasonable, amusing, and didactic. So I closely foster it. This is also adventuresome. To me stamp collection is a systematic collection. The French were the earliest to make systematic collection. They noted the different shades and designs, different schemes of water colour, different border marks. Stamps were collected and arranged in terms of these. A good collector has to be a critical judge of art. The nature of this hobby has pleased me because of its great quality. Stamps are printed not only for daily use but also for commemorative purposes. We have had stamps commemorating our independence, sagacious persons, and many other events. Hence stamps have a historical importance and remind us forgotten things. Cherishing this hobby, I have understood that stamp collections help to commemorate the forgotten things. Stamps also carry geographical information. We can know about the flora and fauna of a country from postage stamps. We can also know the art and culture, great men and achievements of a country from the postage stamps. I get a pleasant relief from stamp collection. I have friends all over the world. I can consult and exchange interest and information. It is a perpetual side issue that always accompanies me. I am always on the look out for a new discovery. I have friends all over the world with whom to consult and exchange interest and information. It thus helps me to get a pleasant relief from the pre-occupations of life. We live in an age of utility. Philately is also a profitable business. Valuable collections fetch fabulous sums of money. There is a regular market for the buying and selling of stamps. Stamp collection is pleasant and profitable to me because it gives me the knowledge of profit and pleasure. Philately helps me cherish my hobby with an earnest care. I foster this hobby excellently. It inspires and encourages me to know much about the world. This is really my favourite hobby.
